About Nik
Nik Hare has been a chef since 1999. Born in 1981, Nik's interest in fine food dates back to when he was only four and started making his own salads featuring a wide range of ingredients. He began his career at Norwich City College and started work at the prestigious Park Farm Hotel, near Norwich, twelve years ago. Since that time, Nik has lived and worked in some top establishments in Australia and New Zealand, as well as in the UK. He has also perfected the art of the ideal stir-fry after spending three months working on a noodle stall in Singapore. Nik has been head chef at The Parson Woodforde near Norwich since its reopening in September 2010. It's a pub with a rich history and a must-visit for those who love their food. In September the pub was named as having Norfolk's Best Pub Menu (sponsored by Bernard Matthews Foodservice) at the Eastern Daily Press Norfolk Food and Drink Awards 2011. At the heart of Nik's menu planning is local ingredients combined with his overseas travelling experiences - a combination which he uses to develop an intriguing mix of starters, main courses and desserts.
